Although Arizona and Oregon are not traditional rivals, the game has been heating up over the last few years. Back in 2006 Arizona blew out the Ducks at home. In 2007 Oregon looked ready to finally make it to the big show. They were on track for a BCS championship birth. And that bid ended in Arizona. Last year they played a double overtime nail biter that had everything you want in a football game. Can Arizona be the spoiler once again for Oregon? Can Oregon finally get over the hump and complete a perfect season?This year is setting up to be just as good. Oregon comes into this game ranked number one, with all the confidence in the world. They had been an offensive juggernaut all season long. But they have been here before and fallen short. Oregon needs to keep their head in the game. Thinking to much on being number one will lead to another Arizona style disaster for them. The ducks have to get their offense clicking early, and take a commanding lead. You do not want to get behind this Arizona team, and you do not want to give them a shot in the fourth quarter. Just ask Iowa.
Arizona knows what it takes to beat the big dog. They have played the spoiler to Oregon in the past. They took down Iowa early in the season. Arizona has to keep control of the ball to win this game. If you give Oregon's offense time with the ball they will kill you. Arizona has to win the time of possession battle. If Arizona can keep the Oregon offense on the sideline , and can stay within a touchdown until the fourth quarter. They may just pull the great upset.
A win by Arizona would send the Ducks to the Rose Bowl and the BCS into chaos. And what would happen if Arizona got the win and Alabama beat Auburn? BCS meltdown, that's what. But we will talk about that in a different article, later this week.

Prediction: Oregon gets caught looking ahead and lets Arizona stay in the game till the fourth quarter. Arizona pulls the upset. Of course this prediction may just be because we want to see the BCS blow up.
