Is Nevada for real?
The story of this game will be Nevada. Is Nevada an up and coming Boise State or TCU? Nevada has never been ranked as highly as they are right now. In our opinion no team deserves their ranking more. We like this Nevada team. They were heavy underdogs in their last game against Boise State. They never let that affect them. They hung tight and fought on. They took down the number two team in the nation. Detractors will say Boise was overrated. But if they take down Boston College they will be the second team from the WAC to take out an ACC team this year.
The ACC is an automatic qualifying BCS conference. Of course to everyone but the most die-hard ACC fans this is a joke. The conference champion lost to William and Mary this year. Not to mention being demolished by Boise State right out of the gate. One of the conference big dogs, Miami, is considering hiring Canadian Football Coach Marc Trestman. When your coaching search has taken you to the CFL; things are bad. Florida State may be on the way back up, but they are one team. And they still have a ways to go. Boston College has played good hard football all year. But they will be destroyed in this bowl.
The ACC is no longer as competitive as the WAC. Look for this game to prove that fact.
