Middle Tennessee State (6-6) vs. Miami Ohio (9-4)
The key to this game will be one thing, the Red Hawk D. The Red Hawk's, from the Mid-American Conference, have the 16th ranked total defense in the NCAA. They have played spectacularly on defense this year. The offense hasn't bee terrible either. QB Zach Dysert has passed for over 2400 yards this year. His go to receiver Armand Robinson has gotten 981 receiving yards. We expect him to make it 1,000 reciving yards for the year during the bowl game. A good D and a great passing attack will make Miami Ohio a tough team to beat on Jan, 6th.
So how does MTSU do it? First they have to have success on the ground. The MTSU passing attack has been lack luster all year. So if they put themselves in passing situations against that Red Hawk D they will be in trouble. Secondly the MTSU defense will have to step up and put pressure on Zach Dysert. If they allow him to sit back and play pitch and catch; he will destroy them.
The Red Hawks have been our favorite MAC team to watch this year. We expect them to end the season with a bang. Look for a big Red Hawk victory in Mobile. Now, can Ohio State win another bowl for Buckeye State? That may be a taller order.
