Wrigley Field is for Baseball.

It all sounded like a great idea. Lets have the Northwestern vs. Illinois game at Wrigley Field. We will get College Gameday to come. Its gonna be great. Then they went and messed up the whole thing.

They placed the end zone right up against the famed ivy wall of Wrigley Field. Meaning that receivers would have to be conscious of the wall or risk running into it. They didn't even have room to put up a goal post. The goal post is literally sticking out of the wall. This was obviously going to cause player injuries.

So whats the solution? A rush to realign the field? Nope, we just aren't going to use that end zone. You have got to be kidding me. So now we are going to have the worlds most drawn out game. All the time to reset the ball. And what happens on an interception or a fumble? And what about the coin toss? We just don't pick ends? And the poor folks with the seats in the in-zone we aren't using? What about them? They have to watch the backs of the players all game.

This is a great example of a good idea gone horrible. Enjoy the game at Wrigley this year. We doubt there will be another.
