Don't Forget What Comes After the Holidays.

If your anything like us you love the holidays.  We can't believe how fast the season is going.  With Thanksgiving already in the back mirror; Christmas is just around the bend.  We just don't know where the time goes.  It seems almost yesterday that we were getting geared up for a full season of football.  Lets not get depressed about the end of football however.  The coming spring will bring around another great season.

When we think of Spring we think of one thing, baseball.  Sure football will be over and we will all morn its passing.  But we can't morn too long.  This holiday season we need to be forward thinking.  We have league baseball to prepare for.  If your like us and planning on joining a softball league this year, take our advice.  Number one, find your own bat. Easton-sv12 When you have your own bat you get comfortable with it.  You find its sweet spot.  And honestly it gives you a level of confidence when approaching the mound. Secondly get your gear now.  Don't wait till spring to buy your gear.  Get the gear your going to use now, and start practicing with it.  You don't want to use your kids old wiffle bat to practice, then swap it out for an Easton-sv12 in March.  Third get some cleats. The same rules apply to your little leauger.  If your kid is the teams catcher, then the perfect christmas gift is his own gear.  Youth Catchers Gear He can't succeed wearing that used gear the coach brings.  Let him practice in the gear with you at home.  It will give him the same confidence having your own bat gave you.  Speaking of, get the kid his own bat as well.  Speaking from personal experience you hate to be that kid who uses the bat the coach brings.  Meanwhile little Johnny has a bad ass tee ball bat.  Take the kid out to practice with you.  It will be good for both of you to get off the couch after a fall of football.  It will make both of you feel great to spend time together.  And practicing with your kid will help you sharpen up for that church league. Just don't let March sneak up on you.
