Week one of college football is a pretty weak meal. But then again, we have been months without football and if we jumped right into a huge schedule of awesome our heads might explode. There are still a few games worth watching other than the traditional watch the team you are a homer of slaughter an unsuspecting cupcake.
First up is Utah State at Auburn on ESPN 2 and 3 at 12pm Est. Utah State was a fairly impressive team last year able to rack up big points. Meanwhile the defending national champions only bring back a handful of players on their squad. Can home field advantage and Gus Malzhan trickery lead a bunch of freshmen and walk-ons to victory in their first game? It's gonna be tight but I am going with Utah State to score enough points to pull out the win. The Auburn defense is going to be very week this year and Utah State may have an opportunity here. If Utah State does win this is the game of the weekend and you can expect to hear about it all week long.
LOSER: AUBURN
The week one football gods, or more exactly, the networks were cruel when they scheduled the Boise State vs. Georgia game for 8pm. Est. It is at the same time as LSU vs. Oregon our other big week one game. Luckily you will probably only have to watch the first half of this game before Mark Richt finds a way to lose. Say all you want about Georgia's great quarterback, and the kid is good, he can't do it alone. Georgia's lines are weak and will make it hard on Arron Murry all year. Add to the mix a missing link in A.J. Green's departure and you have the seeds of trouble. Mark Richt is almost as big a choke artist as Frank Beamer in big games. Every time Richt gets involved in hyping up a game, the Bulldogs get slammed. Remember when Richt called for a "blackout" a few years back when then number one ranked Georgia was playing Alabama? Well this time Richt is talking about "going to battle" and "the fight for a BCS spot." Richt will of course blame the loss on Nick Saban's over-signing and unreasonable expectations from fans who just don't understand what he is doing. Boise State on the other hand is going to be focused and ready to pounce, last year they pounced VA Tech, this year they pounce UGA.
LOSER: GEORGIA
Finally we come to what promises to be the best football of the weekend, LSU vs. Oregon at 8pm Est. on ABC. Oregon has a fast , very fast, dynamic offense. Some are reporting that Oregon takes only 18 seconds from snap to snap on offense. But that is in practice, and this will be in a Cowboy Stadium packed to the rafters with screaming Bayou Bengals. Oregon's offense is impressive but make no mistake, the LSU defense is far scarier. LSU is gonna put a lock on the Ducks.
LOSER: OREGON

LOLOLOLOLOL.... I'm gonna tune in weekly to get a good laugh. I'm laughing so hard that my tears may short out my keyboard right now. Delusional Bammers are as in touch with reality as our beloved president. WDE. I can't wait to sing Rammer Jammer for the 9th time in 12 years following this years IB.
Do tune in weekly , also post as your twitter handle and pick some losers of your own. We can even have some sort of bet on it if you like. I would take just about any IB bet this year if you are feeling bold my friend.
Hey barner, USU hung 38 on that sieve of a defense. MSU will beat the brakes off of em.
